Charter inclusions - A Marcrista exclusive luxury charter includes;

• Full day / night rate and a part day rate when guests depart from Lizard Island.
• Skipper and Hostess/ Chef
• Transfer to Marina Mirage from Port Douglas and to Lizard Island airport from Marcrista when at Lizard Island.
• All fine dining, breakfasts, morning tea, lunches, afternoon teas, dinner and snacks at any time in-between. BBQ some nights
• We have a comprehensive food preference sheet to ensure guests have their favourites.
• Soft beverages and bottled water.
• Use of Stereo CD, TV and DVD player
• Use of snorkelling equipment
• We supply wet suits and all snorkelling gear as part of the charter. We check guest’s approx wet suit sizes prior.
• Mooring fees at Cooktown and reef locations
• Fuel ( diesel*, petrol for outboard and gas)
• Tours and entrance fees associated with our half day tour at Cooktown
• Federal GST and Reef taxes.

The following items are usually excluded from the cost of your Charter:

• Personal Travel Insurance
• Transfers outside of Port Douglas unless noted
• Land based tours that guests specifically request extra to those included by Marcrista at Cooktown
• Customs fees and local visitors airport taxes*
• Flights unless specifically noted
• Accommodation ashore if required
• Telecommunications costs* (telephone, email and internet)
• Diving equipment (other than tanks and weights)
• Dive Master Fees. A Dive master is required for all diving on the Great Barrier Reef.
• Alcohol is extra. We prefer asking guests their preferences and quantities. The alcohol is then charged to guests at our nett cost. - We are happy to supply a quote for the guest’s selection if required.
• Diving. We have on board a compressor, weights and tanks. Gear hire and a dive master is extra.

Marcrista's 5 star accommodation offers guests air conditioned internal comfort. The European design has incorporated tropical rated ventilation for this vessel. Even without air conditioning she offers excellent flow of sea breezes.

The interior is luxurious with warm teak finishes, soft carpets and muted furnishings giving a warm, welcoming ambience. The saloon in the deck house offers 360 degree views of your anchorage. Bose hi fi systems provides quality sound in the saloon which also offers video, DVD and LCD TV.

Deckhouse Saloon Details

• The deck house style saloon offers dining and relaxation in air-conditioned comfort with 360 degree views of your anchorage. Flat screen TV, Bose sound system and large chart table add to the enjoyment of this upper level area.
• The dining table is on the same level as the cockpit and offers larger groups the opportunity to socialise with those in the cushioned cockpit area.
• The large dining table can seat 6 for full table service.
• Upholstered curved lounge provides comfortable cushioned seating in this area.

Port Berth Double Details

• The Port berth offers a large double bed 1900 mm (75'') long and 1400 mm (55'') wide at shoulders.

AFT Berth Details
The aft berth has a large double bed with cabin window, opening port hole to the cockpit and hull port hole and offers:

• Excellent seagoing berth.
  
• The aft berth is normally occupied by crew whilst having guests. It can be made available if having a group of 3 couples. The crew then sleeps in an enclosed double in the cockpit area.

Crew
The owners and operators, Mark and Chris Blunden will be your main crew. At times the Operator will have extra professional staff to join who will maintain the warm, friendly atmosphere.

Mark and Chris have had extensive experience in the charter industry and as guests your safety, enjoyment and sense of well being, will be their first priority. They have had over seven years in the industry and the constant feedback they receive always relates to the warm, sincere hospitality extended to their guests and the care taken with all details to ensure the best possible experience. They are versatile and flexible and always prepared to put in that extra effort.

Mark comes from a corporate background in Engineering related industries. He decided to make a life change approx. ten years ago to follow his dream of building his own yacht and enjoying his work experience, while giving pleasure to others. Marcrista is built to the highest survey requirements in Australia and as 'man in charge of the project' it was a challenging experience to follow through with 'The Dream.' He loves sharing with others who have an interest in sailing or boating of any nature, or those who are just keen to enjoy the wonderful freedom cruisng offers in such a pristine and beautiful area. He loves playing the guitar and his singing is still progressing!! He has his Master 5 qualification and is expert in many fields of yacht engineering, maintenance and marine operations..

Chris was a Primary School Teacher, drawn to the profession by her love of children. Since being married however business has always predominated and she and Mark have operated together in their different ventures. She has enjoyed being hostess and has completed the safety courses necessary for crewing requirements. She takes great enjoyment in ensuring guests are comfortable and feel welcome and 'at home.' She has a warm, caring nature and a constant happy smile. Her pride and joy are their two grown sons, Jayd and Ryan.

Together they will strive to give everyone that once in a lifetime experience. They enjoy people from all walks of life wheher it be family groups or corporate executives. Their life experience is broad and they are continuously inspired by those they meet and share time with.

Locations
The Operator is based out of either Cairns or Port Douglas Tropical North Queensland. The specialty is to locate to the area that most interests the clients. Charter duration is a consideration when locating to a distant location.
The Operator  also offers for extended charters South Pacific locations such as the Solomon Islands , Fiji , New Caledonia , Vanuatu.

The ultimate Australian sailing holiday the Operator offers is to Board Marcrista at the Whitsunday Islands then cruise North with the prevailing South Easterlies to Cairns, stopping each night at pristine island or mainland anchorage's. Snorkelling, fishing, beach and island excursions are the norm. Diving can be arranged with a local company at most locations.

The rates on this website are often heavily discounted. This is due to our negotiated rates and bulk buying power. On very rare occasions, a rate may be displayed incorrectly due to our, or a supplier's error. In such a case, if you book with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right to update or change the information published at any time.

Liability

On departure day, before you commence your trip, you may be required to sign a rental agreement (in the case of boat charters) with the supplier of the vessel. Your rental and use of the vessel will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vessel. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.

While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vessel. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Booking information
To make a booking, you must complete our no-obligations reservations enquiry form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your enquiry, we will contact you via phone or email, to advise of availability and confirm the final price is correct - and discuss payment options. A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation notice and at this stage the deposit is processed on your credit card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.

Please note we accept Visa and Mastercard and the credit card fees are: 
1) 1.75% for the deposit amount.
2) 1.75% for the balance of payment.

If you are booking via phone, please first make sure you have read the terms and conditions of your selected sailing adventure. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Information disclosure
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental, trip or charter services.

Amendments
Please check the terms of each vessel to see whether amendment fees apply. Please also note that for some vessels an amendment is treated as a new booking and the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). In the case of boat rental/yacht charter, if the hire or number of days is increased, an additional deposit may be required, while reduction in rental periods or price may reduce the total, but the deposit amount will remain unchanged.

Vessel Capacity and fitness to charter (for Bareboats only)
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vessel you charter is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of passengers allowed is indicated next to each vessel on this website. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A boat or trip supplier can refuse to hire a vessel to any person who is in their opinion unfit to skipper or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.
